Delivery Methodology

Course 8 of 10 in Claude Partner Badge: Claude Code

The technical deployment is the easier part. This course covers the full delivery methodology: qualifying use cases for structural ROI, designing pilots, capturing baselines, managing adoption, enabling champions, and getting ahead of the failure modes that derail engagements.

About this course

This course is about the engagement, not just the tool. What makes a Claude Code activation succeed, or fail to produce a result worth presenting to an executive, is methodology. The technical work is table stakes. This is the layer on top of it.

The course starts with use case qualification and one of the most useful distinctions in the learning path: structural gain versus marginal gain.

  • Marginal gain: the same work runs faster. Real productivity improvement, but hard to anchor a CIO-level business case to in a 30-day window
  • Structural gain: the unit of work itself changes. A task that required a team of four and six weeks now takes two developers and two weeks, that's measurable before Day 30 and defensible at the readout

From there, the course covers the full engagement arc:

  • Use case qualification: four criteria (volume, complexity, measurability, developer readiness) that separate a pilot-worthy use case from a wishlist item
  • Pilot design: cohort selection, scope, duration, and success criteria that produce an answer at Day 30, not just a good feeling
  • ROI measurement: baseline capture before Day 1 (without pre-pilot data, there's no denominator for the ROI calculation), which productivity metrics hold up under scrutiny, and how to build a narrative a CIO finds credible
  • Phased rollout and adoption: the shift from supervised use to agentic delegation doesn't happen automatically, the course covers how to design it into the activation from the start
  • Champion enablement: who to identify, how to invest in CLAUDE.md and internal documentation as deployment infrastructure, and how to set the champion up to maintain the deployment after you leave
  • Common failure modes and how to get ahead of them before they become problems

The course also includes a walkthrough of a 30-day activation, the pre-kickoff window, the weekly rhythm with CoE touchpoints and office hours, the Day 30 showcase, and the plugin and documentation handoff.

Your artifact is the Delivery Plan Pack: use case qualification, pilot design, ROI scorecard, and champion plan, completed for a sample client brief.
