Program overview

What is the Claude Certification program and who is it for?

The Claude Certification program validates that people at partner organizations have the skills to do real work with Claude, across three roles: Associate, Developer, and Architect. Certification counts toward your firm's standing in the Claude Partner Network, and it signals to customers that your team has invested in a real Claude practice.

Which certifications are available?

Four: Claude Certified Associate ($99), Claude Certified Developer – Foundations ($125), Claude Certified Architect – Foundations ($125), and Claude Certified Architect – Professional ($175). Prices are in USD before any partner-tier discount.

Eligibility and access

Do I need to work at a partner organization to take an exam?

Yes. Certification is available to people at Claude Partner Network organizations. Registration requires a partner email address on a recognized company domain — personal email addresses will not work.

Can customers or non-partners get certified?

Certification is currently available only to organizations in the Claude Partner Network.

How do I get access?

Go to Anthropic Partner Academy. You can browse to a certification directly, or start at the Claude Certification program page and open the certification you want from there. Each certification page has the exam guide, the prep courses, and the registration link. Go to Anthropic Partner Academy →

I'm getting "You aren't signed in with a partner company employee email." What do I do?

The email domain you signed in with is not yet recognized on your organization's partner record. First, check that you are signed in with your company email rather than a personal address. If you are and you still see the error, email partner-support@anthropic.com. Adding a domain requires a record change on our side and takes 7 to 10 days to take effect, so send the request before you plan to sit the exam.

Our company uses several email domains. Which one should my team certify under?

Certify under a domain recognized on your organization's partner record. Certifications earned on a domain that is not recognized — including subsidiary and regional domains — will not credit to your partner account. If your team spans multiple domains, email partner-support@anthropic.com with your parent company domain and the other domains that should roll up to it. We will update your record and confirm when it is done, which takes 7 to 10 days.

Registering, scheduling, and taking the exam

How do I register and schedule my exam?

Go to the page for the certification you want to earn, register and pay, and you'll receive an email with a link to Pearson. Log in there and schedule your exam, either online proctored or at a Pearson test center. See the step-by-step guide →

What's the exam format and length?

All Claude certification exams use multiple choice and scenario-based multiple response questions. You have 120 minutes to answer them. Plan for about 135 minutes of total seat time, which includes check-in, instructions, and a brief post-exam survey.

Is there a practice exam?

No. The exam guide includes sample questions that show the format and style of what's on the exam.

What are the technical requirements for online proctoring?

Your computer and connection must meet Pearson's requirements. Check the requirements and run Pearson's system test before exam day. Check requirements and run the system test →

My corporate network or managed device blocks the exam. What does my IT team need to allow?

Pearson publishes the full list of domains that must be reachable from your network for OnVUE exam delivery. Share it with your corporate network administrator, along with Pearson's system requirements. If the exam still won't launch on a managed device, you can take it at a Pearson test center instead. Pearson system requirements and domains →

Can I reschedule or cancel?

Yes. You can reschedule or cancel free of charge as long as you do it at least 24 hours before your appointment — cancelling within that window gets you a full refund. If you reschedule or cancel less than 24 hours before your appointment, or you don't show up, you forfeit the exam fee.

Can I use notes, documentation, translation tools, or AI assistants during the exam?

No. Exams are closed book. Browser translation tools are not permitted under the Pearson proctoring platform.

Pricing and payment

Are there discounts?

Discounts follow your organization's Claude Partner Network tier. Registered-tier partners pay full price. Select, Preferred, and Global Premier partners receive 50% off, applied automatically at checkout. Through August 31, 2026, Global Premier partners receive a 100% discount on all certification exams; after that date, the standard 50% discount applies.

How do I pay?

You pay for the exam by credit card through Anthropic Partner Academy before you're directed to Pearson to schedule.

Can we buy in bulk or consolidate billing for our team?

Not yet. A voucher storefront — where partners can buy vouchers for their organization with discounts applied and track usage in one place — is in progress. Details will be shared when it's ready.

Results and scoring

When and how do I get my results?

You'll see your score on screen at the end of your exam, whether you test online or at a test center; test center candidates also receive a printed score report. If you pass, you'll receive an email from Credly to claim your badge — this usually arrives within minutes for online proctored exams and takes a little longer for test center exams.

How is the exam scored, and what's the passing bar?

Results are reported as a scaled score of 100 to 1,000. The minimum passing score is 720 for all four certifications. Scaled scoring equates scores across exam forms that may have slightly different difficulty.

If I don't pass, will I find out which areas I was weak in?

Yes. Your score report shows your overall scaled score, your pass or fail result, and the percentage of items you answered correctly in each section of the exam. You can use the section breakdown to decide what to review before a retake.

Retakes and recertification

If I don't pass, when can I retake?

Waiting periods increase with each failed attempt: 14 days after the first, 30 days after the second, and 90 days after the third. You can take an exam up to 4 times per rolling 12 months. This applies per exam, so failing one track doesn't block you from registering for another.

How much does a retake cost?

A retake is the full exam fee. Your partner tier discount applies to retakes.

How long is my certification valid?

12 months from the date you earn it. Certifications earned before June 30, 2026 under the previous 6-month validity have been extended automatically to 12 months from their original earned date.

What does recertification involve, and what does it cost?

You'll review what's changed since you certified and complete a free, non-proctored assessment on Anthropic Partner Academy. On-time renewal is free. If your certification lapses, you'll retake the full exam at the full fee to regain certified status. Full details will be shared before the first certifications come up for renewal.

Credentials and badges

What do I get when I pass?

You earn the credential and receive an email from Credly, our digital badging platform, inviting you to accept your badge. Once you accept it, you can share it on LinkedIn or anywhere else.

Can my certification transfer if I change email addresses or organizations?

Yes. We recommend adding a personal email address to your Credly profile so you keep access to your badges regardless of where you work. If your work email changes, or you move to another partner firm and need your certification record updated, email certifications-support@anthropic.com.

Moving to Pearson

On June 30, 2026, certification moved to Pearson for exam delivery and to Credly for digital badging. These questions cover what changed for people who certified or registered before that date.

I registered for an exam before the move to Pearson. Do I need to do anything?

We moved existing registrations over to Pearson in waves. If you had already registered, you should have received an email from us with your Pearson registration link — check your spam folder if you can't find it. If you didn't receive an email and you hadn't yet paid, register through the normal route from your certification's page in Anthropic Partner Academy. If you already paid and still aren't getting an email from Pearson, email certifications-support@anthropic.com — don't register again, as you would be charged a second time.

I passed or attempted Architect – Foundations before June 30, 2026. How does the move to Pearson affect me?

If you attempted the exam and did not pass, your earlier failed attempt is cleared and you can register and retake on Pearson with no waiting period. If you passed, your certification is valid for 12 months from the date you earned it.

I took the exam before the migration and never received my result. What now?

We're working through outstanding cases from before the migration. If you took Architect – Foundations and didn't receive a result, it's included in that work.

I passed before the migration to Credly and Pearson on June 30. Where is my badge?

All existing certifications have been transferred to Credly, and everyone should have received an email asking them to accept their badge. If you haven't received it, check your spam folder, then contact support.

Accommodations

What accommodations are available, and how do I request them?

Accommodations are requested through Pearson's accommodations process. Please plan to request accommodations 10 days or more before you plan on taking your exam. Request accommodations →

Appeals

I disagree with a decision about my certification. Can I appeal?

Yes. You can appeal within 14 days of the date we notify you of the decision, or from your exam date for a results concern. Submit your appeal to Pearson. A disputed question does not by itself change a pass or fail result, and reporting an issue never counts against you or affects your result.

Support

Where do I go for help?

For exam support — including registration, scheduling, proctoring, and exam-day issues — contact Pearson support. For issues with your digital badge, contact Credly support at support.credly.com. To add or roll up partner email domains, or if a certification is not credited to your partner account, email partner-support@anthropic.com; record changes take 7 to 10 days.

Exam content and prep

How should I prepare?

Start with the exam guide for your certification. It lists the domains and task statements the exam covers and is the authoritative source for exam scope. Anthropic Partner Academy also has prep courses — coverage varies by certification, so check your certification's page for what's currently available. We're adding prep content over time.

Is content available in languages other than English?

The exam and prep content are available in English only. Note that browser translation tools are not permitted during proctored exams.

Can my organization see who on our team has certified, or who is ready to sit an exam?

Not today. There is no self-service view of team-level learner progress or certification status.
